Angel Zaverl, LPC
Founder
Angel is a licensed master level mental health counselor. She received her MS from University of Phoenix. She worked for nine years at Community mental health and was on a DBT team providing case management, individual therapy, and group therapy to individuals with personality disorders, eating disorders, individuals with co-occurring disorders, and members of the LGBTQ community. During this time, she facilitated a DBT group, Trem group (women’s trauma), and a Seeking safety group. Before that, Angel completed her internship at Substance use outpatient team in a community mental health setting. She was also trained in EMDR therapy during this time. Angel also worked at The DBT Institute of West Michigan working with Adolescents and Adults as a Mental Health Therapist.
Nicole Nutt, LMSW
Therapist - Grand Rapids
Nicole is a licensed clinical social worker with experience working in the areas of domestic violence, substance abuse treatment, severe and persistent mental illness, mild to moderate mental illness, trauma, co-occurring disorders, inpatient psychiatric treatment, and community crisis intervention. Nicole has worked throughout West Michigan this includes Resilience- advocates for Ending Violence, Arbor Circle, Our Hope Association, Healthwest, and Forest View Hospital.
Aly Moran, LLMSW
Therapist - Grand Rapids
Aly is a Limited License Master Social Worker. She earned her BS in Psychology from Grand Valley State University and her MSW from Western Michigan University. She has over five years of experience working at Pine Rest in an inpatient psychiatric setting, where she gained experience working with a wide variety of populations and spent several years working with individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders. She has also completed internships at HealthWest and a private practice as an intern therapist.
She enjoys working with people from all walks of life and is passionate about helping clients build fulfilling lives that align with their values and goals. Aly strives to create a collaborative and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring challenges, stressors, successes, and patterns in their lives while developing insight and working toward positive change.
Outside of work, Aly enjoys spending time reading, doing arts and crafts, and being outdoors. She loves finding opportunities to connect with nature.
Lainie Welch, LLMSW
Therapist - Norton Shores
Lainie is a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) who earned her Master of Social Work degree and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Michigan University. She works with children, adolescents, and adults and is passionate about helping clients build confidence, improve self-esteem, and create meaningful changes that enhance their quality of life.
Lainie utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. She has experience supporting individuals with PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, bipolar disorders, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. She also enjoys working with families and facilitating group therapy.
Lainie is committed to creating a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered. She is affirming of LGBTQ+ identities and believes in helping each person recognize their strengths while working toward their goals.
Outside of therapy, Lainie enjoys spending time with her 11 animals, thrifting, and coaching high school color guard.

Julie Alexander, LPC
Therapist - Norton Shores
Julie is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned her master’s degree in professional counseling from Central Michigan University. Julie began her career as an educational counselor at Ferris State University. In that role she helped students learn to manage anxiety and gain confidence in themselves. She also provided career counseling, assisting individuals with self-discovery and decision making. Julie later worked with students with disabilities at Ferris State University and Purdue University. Julie has experience with neurodivergent populations and values their unique perspectives on the world. Julie has been working as a mental health therapist since 2024. She uses evidence-based practices drawing from CBT, DBT, EMDR, and humanistic approaches. Julie strives to make clients feel comfortable yet gently challenged so that clients are moving forward and making progress. She values seeing people grow to their potential and accomplishing their goals.
In her free time, Julie loves playing with cats, spending time with family and friends, and hiking in the woods. She also loves Indian food and belly dancing on occasion.

Cassie Aldridge, LLMSW
Therapist - Grand Rapids
Cassie is a Limited License Master Social Worker. She received her bachelors and master's degree from Ferris State University. Cassie has experience working with teens, adults, couples, and elderly clients. She has experience working with people adjudicated NGRI (not guilty for reasons of insanity) and working in the emergency department with people in crisis in the hospital setting. She's also worked in private practice for almost 4 years now. Cassie works with clients who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, borderline personality, and dissociative identity disorder. Cassie incorporates DBT skills, and a relational approach when working with clients. Cassie is passionate about assisting clients in their mental health journey and welcomes you to take that first step toward a better life.
Angela Lineberry, LLP
Therapist - Norton Shores
Angie is a Limited Licensed Master Level Psychologist who received her MLP from Western Michigan University. Her work with mental health began when she recognized her passion for healing and growth while supervising skill-building at Goodwill with developmentally disabled adults. Through this experience, she discovered the positive change that can occur within therapeutic relationships when working collaboratively with individuals across the lifespan in counseling sessions and crisis responses, as part of her work with HealthWest. Angie processes life challenges and successes with individuals, building upon hope and their strengths as opportunities for learning, resilience, and personal development, with purpose and meaning, in alignment with the individual’s identified well-being.
When Angie is not working, she enjoys nature walks with her Golden Retrievers, sitting at the beach, reading books, gardening, spending time with family, and painting canvases, all while enjoying time with others.
Lauren Amlalo, LMSW
Therapist - Grand Rapids
Lauren Amlalo, LMSW, is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, heal from difficult experiences, and discover their inner strengths. Her journey into social work was inspired by her own experiences overcoming adversity and learning the value of resilience, support, and personal growth.
Lauren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse populations, including refugees, adolescents struggling with substance use, individuals living with mental health conditions, children and teens with developmental disabilities and trauma histories, women navigating pregnancy and postpartum challenges, and families coping with grief and loss.
Her approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Lauren utilizes evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and strengths-based interventions to help clients build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful change.
Lauren believes that healing and growth are possible for everyone. Her goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, overcome obstacles, and move toward becoming the healthiest and most authentic versions of themselves. She works collaboratively with clients to identify existing strengths and use them as a foundation for lasting positive change.
Lindsay Gomez, LMSW - Grand Rapids
Lindsay is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with over eight years of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults. She earned both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University.
Throughout her career, Lindsay has worked in residential treatment, nonprofit organizations, and private practice settings, providing individual and group therapy to individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. She has extensive experience working with teens and adults and is passionate about helping clients make sense of their experiences, build resilience, and feel more like themselves again.
Lindsay is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process distressing experiences and reduce the emotional impact of trauma. As a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC), she has specialized training in working with first responders and veterans and understands the unique stressors and cumulative impact of working in these professions.
Lindsay believes that healing starts with feeling safe, understood, and accepted. She strives to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable showing up as they are, exploring life’s challenges, and working toward meaningful healing and growth.
Ashley,
Office Coordinator - Norton Shores
Ashley prioritizes client care by showing patience and empathy when discussing prospective clients’ needs during intake calls. She pays careful attention to the clients’ requests to ensure a smooth transition into therapy with our practice and helps the clients feel safe and confident with their decision to seek care at LKH Therapy.
Outside of the office, she spends her time reading, hiking, practicing yoga, cuddling with her cat, and going to the movies.
Available in office Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Cheyenne, Office Coordinator - Grand Rapids
Cheyenne focuses on creating a welcoming experience for everyone, ensuring both clients and clinicians have what they need to be successful. She is committed to making the administrative side of therapy as stress-free as possible so that clients can focus on their care here at LKH Therapy.
Outside of the office she spends her time singing, reading, walking her dog, and studying for law school.
Available in office Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm.
